Mr. A

About us

A tour through England, several studio sessions, a music video and numerous energetic live shows: welcome to No More Jack. It all started when in 2011 four young gentlemen decided to form a band. Fresh songs had to be written, since the first gig was scheduled soon after formation. It was during this gig that these guys all realised that writing dynamic songs and giving powerful live performances was their joint purpose.

The band participated in the PopSport course to grow as musicians. There they won the regional first price and were voted best act by the audience in the national finals. This encouraged the band to go the extra mile, so in the summer of 2013 No More Jack left for a tour through England. None of the band members will ever forget this experience, which exceeded every expectation.

The first EP ‘Flatliner’ was recorded with Within Temptation producer Stephen van Haestregt in 2014. For one of the songs on that EP, called Mr. A, a music video was created. The band received very positive feedback from their audience for Flatliner and the video, and it even brought them the Cultuurprijs Oosterhout 2015. A year later No More Jack went back into the studio to use their new experience and maturity to record a double single, which will also be accompanied by a music video. The first performance on national radio is also a fact: on 8 December 2015 two songs were played live on Radio Veronica!

Bassist Tim Janssen decided to pursue different goals in life. So early 2016, he unfortunately decided to leave the band. Luckily the search for a new bassist was over before it even started: Marijn Stuyfzand, long-time friend of the band and fellow musician in the local scene, joined the band. Now, reenergized and passionate as ever, No More Jack is ready to rock the stage. Together the four strive to fulfil their dreams with an everlasting sense of fraternity. This chemistry makes No More Jack what it is today: an ambitious band, bombastic songs and thrilling live performances, meeting its audience.
